In the intimate ambiance of my Tehran studio, I orchestrated an open studio responsive ode to the unfolding narratives of “women life freedom” and transformative revolution. Confronting the complexities of shuttered or challenged galleries in Iran, I chose the canvas of my studio to showcase artworks steeped in the spirit of a bygone era, offering an exclusive and personal viewing experience. Capturing the essence of this occasion, I curated photographs focusing on the hands of the audience, acknowledging their profound significance. These images, reminiscent of my abstract compositions, encapsulate intricate narratives, unraveling a collection woven around the tactile interplay between hands, papers, freedom, and touch. The hands metamorphose into storytellers, articulating profound narratives that complement and enrich my artistic manifesto. Moreover, within my photographic artworks, hands assume symbolic importance, transcending their physicality. They embody activism, encapsulating the meaningful role hands play in championing change and expressing profound ideas. This collection stands as a testament to the activist spirit embodied in the silent eloquence of hands, weaving a narrative that extends beyond the photograph, resonating with the stories of those who dared to touch, feel, and strive for freedom.
